Twelve year old Sophie Dasaro is a true independent spirit, singing and playing her guitar. Inspired by the memory of her mother and driven by the talent of her father, Sophie is relentless and fearless on stage. Her covers are charming and originals older than her years. Biography

From an early age, Sophie begged for the center stage. Once there, she never faltered. She possesses a wonderful stage presence and impresses with her versions of "Sweet Child of Mine". Sophie has joined the stage with her father's band Funky Munkey and the Thunder Luv,  played with her dad as the opening act for Shakedown Street, and was showcased on the Oasis stage at Carbondale Mountain Fair in 2008. Sophie won Judges Choice at the 2008 Basalt Battle of the Bands and Best Original Song at the 2009 Band Battle, sponsored by Jazz Aspen.

If asked, Sophie will tell you she loves music by Sheryl Crow and Miley Cyrus. But you can tell her musical taste goes well beyond, including The Beatles, Cat Stevens, Dixie Chicks, KT Tunstall, The Band, Trey Anastasio, Grateful Dead, and much more.

Sophie balances her love of music with her love of skiing. At school Sophie participates in "Rock Band", Songwriting class, Celebrate the Beat performances, and the yearly all-school musical. After school, Sophie races with the Aspen Valley Ski Club and skis Highland Bowl.
